NIHR Health Technology Assessment Programme: How to apply and what are the funders looking for?
This event is for anyone considering applying to NIHR’s Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme for research funding. NIHR is the biggest funder of applied health and social care research and HTA is the largest of all NIHR’s programmes with grant sizes typically over £1 million.
Our event will provide information about how to apply to HTA, and information about the types of applications that NIHR are keen to encourage. We are delighted to welcome the HTA Programme, Director Professor Hywel Williams who will present and answer questions from the audience.
Registration to this event is FREE and refreshments will be provided.
Our speakers will be: Professor Hywel Williams, University of Nottingham (NIHR HTA Programme Director), Professor Ann Marie Swart, University of East Anglia (Norwich Clinical Trials Unit Director) and Professor Gill Green, University of Essex (Director of the NIHR Research Design Service for the East of England).
We will also offer sessions for potential applicants to discuss research ideas with the NIHR Research Design Service advisers (pre-booking needed). This event will take place at the Cambridge Professional Development Centre, Foster road, Cambridge on 21 February 2018 from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
