Aims of the service

The NIHR Research Design Service East of England aims to work with health and social care professionals and service users who want to obtain funding for research to improve health and social care. We can provide consultative advice and can also help to build collaborative research teams in order to develop proposals focusing on research for patient benefit (RfPB) and other NIHR funding streams. This includes:

  • Consultative advice
  • Collaborative research
  • Public involvement.

Who are our clients?

The service is available to: health or social care professionals, NHS and social care organisations, service users, services user organisations, and academics who wish to obtain funding to conduct applied research for the benefit of patients.
